Nihang Sikh Beheaded Another Sikh with a Gandasa
Aftermath footage. July 13. A 45-year-old Nihang Sikh beheaded another Sikh with a sharp-edged weapon (gandasa) after major scuffle at the historic Bibangarh Gurdwara Sahib.
The victim has been identified as Pyara Singh, a resident of Ratia in Fatehabad district of Haryana.
The police have registered a case. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital. The post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow.
SHO Fatehgarh Sahib police station Kanwaljit Singh said the victim, Pyara Singh, was doing seva in the shrine for the past 15 years.
Initially, there was a verbal spat between the two Nihangs, which further led to physical assault. After this, the accused, Charanjit Singh, beheaded Pyara Singh with a sharp-edged weapon and later climbed up to the minaret of the shrine and started creating ruckus.
The SHO said a case had been registered against the accused and investigations were on to ascertain as to why he had murdered Pyara Singh.
